What actually separates the tools

Once you filter out pricing, four things decide whether a tool survives in a real workflow:

Brand voice control. Generic output is the fastest way to get a writing tool banned by your editing team.
Source grounding. Can it work from your own documents, or does it invent facts?
Editor integration. Copy-paste between a separate tab and your CMS is a hidden tax on every article.
Team visibility. Style guides and shared templates matter more than one extra model option.

Run a two-week parallel test with one real assignment — the same brief given to two tools and to a human writer. Score the drafts on factual accuracy, editing time and how close they land to your published voice. Then pick on editing time per article.
